Paladin Energy Ltd is a mineral resource exploration and development company which became a uranium producer with the commissioning of the Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine in Namibia, and is now the leading emerging uranium producer in the world.

The company is listed on the Australian and Toronto Stock Exchanges and also trades on the Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart and Frankfurt exchanges. Paladin’s focus is uranium. Worldwide recognition that nuclear power offers one of the best solutions to meeting the worlds insatiable appetite for electricity, without adding to the atmospheric carbon load, means uranium has an excellent short and long term market outlook. Paladin’s strategy has been to accumulate advanced uranium projects, with defined resources, that would be positioned in the low cost producer category.
They have a global resource inventory of over 240 million pounds of uranium in the project pipeline from seven deposits in three countries. Paladin has assembled superb in-house uranium expertise which it is applying to the exciting high quality project development opportunities the company has identified in southern African and Australia.
Paladin is now developing The Kayelekera Uranium project, which is located in the Karonga District of the Northern Region of Malawi, in south eastern Africa, where a Development Agreement with the Government of Malawi provides fiscal stability for the project for the next 10 years. Paladin is currently spending USD185 million on the construction of the mine and infrastructure and production is expected to commence late in 2008, with annual production rates of 3.3 million pounds. The development of this project has created a number of opportunities for highly motivated and focused mining professionals to join the Paladin team.
